In most cases, QuickBooks Restore Failed to complete if the company file has special characters included in its name. Here’s how you can deal with it –
1. Navigate to the location of your company file and locate the file with the .QBW extension.
2. Right-click on the file and select the Rename option.
3. Check if there are any special characters like ( / < > ! $) in the name. You must remove the same and also any extra white spaces.
4. Save the file and check if the restore works now.
