Introduction to the preparations before the horizontal and vertical combustion tester
Horizontal and vertical combustion tester is mainly used for measuring the burning performance of plastic, rubber or film at a predetermined fire source, to determine its fire resistance rating. Horizontal and vertical combustion tester is prepared before the test, flame adjustment and flame power verification.
1. Before the test, first connect the methane gas tank hose and pressure regulating valve, turn on the power switch of the control box, check the connection is correct, and pay attention to whether there is air leakage. If there is no air leakage, turn the power switch to ON. position. Open the main valve of the gas cylinder, unscrew the switch of the pressure regulating valve, and the pressure indicated by the high pressure gauge of the pressure reducing valve should be lower than 0.2Mpa.
2. Move the torch to the horizontal position, open the gas valve, and ignite the flame of the torch mouth with the supplied igniter. At this time, adjust the gas pressure, flow rate and air flow at the air inlet of the burner (please refer to the UL94 test instructions for specific parameter settings), adjust the needle valve at the bottom of the burner and the burner to produce a blue flame with a height of 20±1mm, and use the right The flame height gauge shown in the figure is calibrated (Note: the distance between two adjacent flame height gauges is 10mm). After the flame is adjusted, press the "gas switch" button to turn off the flame. Press the "Fan" button, turn on the exhaust fan for about 2 to 3 minutes to discharge the exhaust gas in the box, and then turn off the exhaust fan.
3. Hang the randomly equipped copper-head thermal temperature sensing device from the sample holder, and insert the other end of the copper-head thermocouple into the head of the temperature measuring instrument (ie, the temperature control meter). Move the torch to a horizontal position, and insert the flame height gauge distributed randomly on the torch mouth, and adjust the position of the bracket and the torch so that the flame height gauge just touches the tip of the copper head.
4. Take out the gauge, turn on the gas, and start to detect the flame power. Before the detection, the temperature of the induction copper head should not exceed 50℃. Move the blowtorch forward/backward, keep the blowtorch away from the copper head temporarily, light the blowtorch, let the flame burn steadily for 5 minutes, and then move the blowtorch so that it is directly under the copper head, when the temperature of the copper block reaches 100+/-2℃ , Press and hold the timing button on the remote control to start timing, when the temperature reaches 700+/-3℃, release the button to stop timing, and record this time, remove the burner and let the copper block cool in the air to less than 50°C. The heating was repeated twice and the average of the three observations was calculated. The time for the temperature to rise from 100+/-2°C to 700+/-3°C shall be 44+/-2 seconds.
5. If the temperature rise time is not within the specified time, adjust the gas flow and repeat the actions described in Items 4 and 5.
6. Remarks: If the average value of 3 times is not within the required range, you need to reset the flow rate, pressure and other parameters, and then re-calibrate to meet the standard requirements. The flame should be calibrated once a month. If you change the gas source or device or have questions about the experimental data, please recalibrate the flame first.
